The Serb List: Self-Determination's brutal lies – a continuation of a dangerous policy of hatred towards the Serbs

The Serb List stated that the brutal lies propagated by the political party Self-Determination, led by Albin Kurti, regarding the March Pogrom and ethnic cleansing of the Serbs and everything Serbian that had occurred in March 2004, were a continuation of a dangerous policy of hatred and ideology of evil towards the Serbs and everything Serbian by Pristina.
"Those who deny the crime and replace the victim with the aggressor are ready to repeat the crime, and we witness this today with daily attacks on the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, shootings at Serbian children, our compatriots, arrests, beatings, desecration of our graves, and the bones of our ancestors. The aim of such shameful and heinous statements by Kurti is to distort the truth and create a false narrative about these events, which are still a fresh wound in the memories of the Serbs who experienced this suffering," the statement said.
They state that the sad statistics of atrocities and the scale of ethnic cleansing faced by Serbs in the 21st century, before the eyes of the international community, provide figures published by the United Nations Security Council, UNMIK, OSCE, the European Union, and all globally relevant media outlets, which speak to the background of this organized crime.
"Even today, it remains chilling to hear about over 4,000 expelled Serbs, eight killed on their doorsteps, hundreds injured, more than 35 churches and monasteries destroyed or severely damaged, including those on the UNESCO list like the Mother of God of Ljevis, nearly 1,000 Serbian homes destroyed, nine villages and six towns ethnically cleansed of the Serbs, over 10,000 icons destroyed and desecrated, and the complete prevention of the return of displaced persons to Kosovo and Metohija," they state.
They add that Jean-Marie Guehenno, Under-Secretary-General of the UN for Peacekeeping Operations, highlighted in the Security Council report, "Although they initially appeared spontaneous, the demonstrations quickly took on organized elements with the aim of expelling Kosovo Serbs from Kosovo and threatening international presence there… The attack, led by extremists of Kosovo Albanians against the communities of Kosovo Serbs, Roma people, and Ashkalis, was an organized, widespread, and targeted campaign."
They recall that no relevant international source has established a connection or responsibility of the Serbs for the unfortunate drowning of Albanian boys in the village of Cabra, as stated in all their reports.
They also mentioned that these reports clearly indicated that the pogrom against Serbs had been organized and well-prepared with the aim of persecuting everything Serbian. Additionally, they emphasized that the inflammatory media reports filled with lies about the Serbs contributed to the ethnic cleansing of Serbs.
"More than Kurti, the Serbs would prefer if March 17, 2004, and all the crimes before and after it had never happened. However, it is our obligation to nurture the memory of this ethnic cleansing and not allow lies to hide the truth, to equate criminals with victims, to forgive their crimes, and to ensure that they are punished for their deeds in accordance with the law. As if it weren't enough that Kurti raises tensions and persecutes everything Serbian every day with his statements and actions, seizing Serbian properties, and Serbian churches, threatening and expelling the Serbs, he now wants to hide the crimes committed against our people with false narratives and shield the organizers and perpetrators of these crimes from prosecution and sanctioning," the Serb List stated.
The Self-Determination Movement stated that 20 years had passed since the deaths of three Albanian boys in the village of Cabra near Zubin Potok, stating that the boys "jumped into the river out of fear of a group of Serbs and lost their lives," which was the reason for "peaceful demonstrations by Albanians across Kosovo."
