The Serb List announced today that the silence about the crimes against the Serbs in Kosovo had been planned in order not to demand accountability and prosecution of the criminals, but also not to jeopardize the narrative that the Albanians were the only victims of the conflict.

As the Serb List stated, "While in front of international officials, they tell fairy tales about the rule of law and respect for the rights of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, the anti-Serb regime of Albin Kurti and he personally did nothing to find those responsible for any crime against the Serbs, although some of them committed more than two decades ago".

"Today, when he mentions the Albanian victims in Orahovac, Kurti did not deign to mention the mass murders, kidnappings, and persecution of the Serbs from this or any other municipality in Kosovo and Metohija. Why didn't Kurti remember the Volujak pit, the reapers from Staro Gracko, the terrorist attack on the Nis-Ekspres bus and over the children on the river Bistrica, the kidnapped miners from Belacevac, and the March Pogrom when the Serbs were killed and expelled, and dozens of Serbian monasteries and churches were destroyed? Did Kurti forget to remind yesterday of the mass kidnappings and murders of the Serbs from Orahovac and request the finding and punishment of the criminals who are still at large 25 years after the terrible crime? We remind you that only in one mass grave, Volujak, in the municipality of Klina, 36 murdered Serbian civilians were found, and only in the municipality of Orahovac during the month of July 1998, 47 of them were killed," the announcement of the Serb List says.

According to the Serb List, the silence about the crimes against the Serbs was planned in order not to demand accountability and prosecution of the criminals, but also not to jeopardize the narrative that the Albanians are the only victims of the conflict.

"The impunity of crimes against the Serbs all these years has resulted in the fact that 24 years after the war, we face daily attacks on the Serbs, their property, and the Serbian Orthodox Church, and since the anti-Serb regime of Albin Kurti has been in power in Pristina, these attacks have come from the highest institutional representatives, Albin Kurti, Vjosa Osmani, Xhelal Svecla and others. There is a stain on the face of the international community due to passivity because for more than two decades criminals do not allow the wounds of the Serbian people to heal, moreover, new ones are opened every day, like those inflicted on Milos and Stefan Jovanovic from Gotovusa, Miljan Delevic, Sresko Sofronijevic, Dragisa Galjak, Milan Jovanovic," the announcement reads.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced today on social networks, where he wrote that "on July 19, 1998, the Serbian army and police killed, kidnapped, wounded and tortured Albanians in Orahovac".
