The Serb List strongly condemned the "targeting" of the President of the Serb List, Goran Rakic, by Kosovo Police Minister Xhelal Svecla, which, as stated in the announcement, comes only a few hours after Prime Minister Albin Kurti's threats to the Serbs at the barricades.

"Without any proof for his accusations, Kurti's minister who leads the armed special forces, who have so far shown their hatred for everything Serbian countless times, sent the most direct threats to the legal and legitimate political representative of the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija," it is stated in announcement of the Serb List.

The Serb list told Svecla that he and Kurti were responsible for the current situation.

"Because months ago you carried out repression against the innocent, bare-handed Serbian people. Because you forbade us vaccinations, elections, referendum, raided kindergartens with armored vehicles and long guns, sent ROSU units to the bare-handed people, arrested people without evidence, made arrest lists and extermination of Serbs, built bases for their armed formations, seizing Serbian land, and as a cowboy came to the north of Kosovo and Metohija, taking pictures, doing marketing, and setting a bad example for their subordinates, and months ago they carried out institutional violence," said the Serb List.

The announcement adds that the barricades are Serbian people, doctors, professors, respectable citizens, women, mothers, sisters and not criminals.

"But you don't understand that because you start from yourself, and a criminal does not believe in honesty. It was not Rakic, but Svecla, who was a part of the movement during whose protests the buildings of institutions were stoned, official vehicles were set on fire, and the government building in Pristina was targeted," according to the Serb List.

They add that they do not expect the reaction of international representatives or the prosecution of Svecla because of the false accusations he made.

"But we tell Svecla, Kurti and their mentors that there is no such threat that will frighten any member of the Serb List or prevent us from our intention to peacefully and democratically fight for the rights and survival of the Serbian people. After the direct threat by Albin Kurti and Xhelal Svecla, we tell them we will hold them absolutely responsible in the event that the security, physical and psychological integrity of President Rakic or any citizen is threatened," the Serb List said.
