The president of the Alliance for Kosovo Business, Agim Shahini, believes that Kosovo will have to form the Community of Serbian Municipalities, but whether it will have similar powers to the Alliance of Kosovo Municipalities, more or less than that, needs to be resolved at the political level in a way that does not jeopardize Kosovo's Constitution.

He also says that everything depends on the upcoming elections in the United States.

"I think the solution will ultimately come from the United States and the new American president. I don't know who that will be. We need to return to the agreement from the White House, which is very important and was accepted by both the Serbian president and the then Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti. I believe we will reach an agreement, and we will have to form the Association," Shahini told Kosovo Online.

As he added, the Kosovo Government had the opportunity to offer a draft statute for the CSM but did not do so, and when it received a draft from the European Union, it was something it could not accept.

"What kind of Community of Serb Municipalities Serbia is seeking, and what kind Kosovo is offering – those are two points that cannot align. However, in both Brussels and Ohrid, the Kosovo Government accepted the agreements, as we know, but the Serbian authorities did not. After that, Banjska happened and many other things that each day distance us from the agreements in Brussels and Ohrid," Shahini concluded.
