Member of the Presidency of the Serb List, Slavko Simic, emphasized that with the new expropriation law, Pristina wanted to legalize the new seizure of Serbian land and create a new crisis in northern Kosovo, as they had previously attempted through the holding of illegitimate elections in Kosovo and Metohija.

Simic said in a statement for Kurir TV that Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, together with their state, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, their legal team, and all democratic means, would oppose this anti-Serb law.

"Pristina persistently tries to provoke tensions and escalate situations in the field through numerous decisions they implemented in the previous period. Pristina is now preparing a new expropriation law, an anti-Serb law again, by which they will try to legitimize everything they have taken from Serbian hosts so far and, of course, legalize what they will try to take in the future. Serbian political representatives will be with their Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as we have been so far. Together with our state leaders, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, and a legal team that has seriously dealt with and will deal with this problem, we will try to address this issue at all international addresses and prevent this law from coming to the parliamentary procedure for adoption," Simic emphasized.

He also commented on the previous elections held by Pristina in northern Kosovo, stating that on that day, Serbs had shown they were united and dignified.

"I can proudly say that April 23 is the day when Serbs have shown for the umpteenth time that they are wise, dignified, brave, and united. On the other hand, the international community shamelessly tried to legalize the elections held in police containers, where ballot boxes were empty, and the elections were a statistical error. While the international community regrets that Serbs and the Serb List did not participate in these elections, they should regret that the CSM has not been formed for ten years, that Kurti's special units have been installed in northern Kosovo and Metohija, and that they shoot and persecute the Serbian population in these areas. Pristina will not stop repressing the Serbian people and raising tension in northern Kosovo, and they will try to do so by installing their so-called satellite mayors," Simic concluded.
