Vulovic: The new expropriation law is a continuation of Kurti's anti-Serb policy
The former mayor of Zubin Potok, Srdjan Vulovic, said today that with the new law on expropriation, for which the authorities in Pristina initiated the procedure, Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti continued his anti-Serb policy.
"Kurti continues with his anti-Serb policy. What the Serbs think of Kurti and his government showed in the elections on Sunday, a classic example of Pristina's dissatisfaction and attitude towards the Serbs, is that zero Serbian voters voted in Zubin Potok," Vulovic said.
He added that Kurti had carried out the expropriation in Zubin Potok by force.
"And then in the following month, he made parliamentary decisions to justify his violent expropriation. He did all this without public discussions, without the participation of the local population, and he is doing the same again. The Ministry of the Environment and Regional Development is working on a new legal act, which is again exclusively anti-Serb," Vulovic said.
He added that what had not existed in the previous law was now decisively underlined and written to apply to police and military facilities and infrastructure.
"What's even worse, until now the law meant the expropriation of certain land, which is necessary for the construction of such facilities, and now it has gone so far, to say the least, that it wants to expropriate the surrounding land as well? Literally, everything that he thinks it gets in the way of the implementation of the anti-Serb policy, he will do it," Vulovic pointed out.
He added that the Serbs would fight peacefully and democratically as before.
"We will introduce all international factors from the European Union with this, Ambassador of the Quint, OSCE, and all those who are responsible for it, and we will also complain to the official bodies in Pristina, the judiciary, and the prosecutor's office," Vulovic stressed.
