"The lawyer filed an appeal to the extension of detention for another two months and demanded that he be placed under house arrest or treated in a hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica because Sladjan has liver cirrhosis and is also receiving insulin. The wound on his leg is still standing, his legs are swollen. .. Fortunately, the wound on his head started to heal," Suzana, the wife of Sladjan Trajkovic, a former member of the Kosovo police, who was arrested on December 15 last year and is accused of war crimes against the civilian population, told Novosti, in the vicinity of Vucitrn.

Sladjan Trajkovic is in a high-risk prison in Grdovac, near Podujevo.

His wife Suzana notes that they visited him and that he is better than last Thursday when they held a support rally.

"After that, the director and warden of the prison called him, they brought him two doctors; they gave him new therapy. They gave him pills, albeit from Kosovo, and they also accepted the request that he keep a family picture and receive Serbian newspapers," Suzana said.

In the cell next to Trajkovic, according to reports, was Miljan Adzic, the first of the three Serbs arrested in the north of Kosovo. Adzic, the father of two children - aged two and a half and one and a half - is accused of assaulting an official when barricades were set up earlier. He was arrested on December 9 at the Jarinje administrative crossing.

The family and lawyers of imprisoned Serbs, apart from their basic rights in detention, as they say, are also waging a parallel battle with the Pristina legal system, "tailored especially for the Serbs".

"And in the latest cases, the old matrix has been exposed - first they arrest for no reason, and then they collect "evidence" and recruit "witnesses". While searching for false eyewitnesses, the Serbs are unjustifiably detained, some for two or more years,” it is indicated.

"Sladjan does not even know where the villages where he allegedly committed the crime are located. And why he was not charged with anything during the past 10 years while he was in the Kosovo police," his wife said.
