State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, Nemanja Starovic, stated that the visit of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to the north is a demonstration of force and hostility towards the Serbian people.

Starovic posted on the social network "X" that these are scenes that are hard to imagine in any European city.

"Imagine living in a city somewhere in Europe, where the mayor, chosen by three percent of the people, rules, where the authorities are enforced by police ninjas who don't speak the language of the local population. Suddenly, the guy who calls himself PM comes, surrounded by 100s of troopers armed to their teeth, proclaiming you will not be able to receive your salary, pension or childcare benefit anymore, just because you're of wrong ethnicity. All the streets being eerily empty, people just waiting for him to leave, to revert to last bits of normalcy left..." wrote Starovic.

He also questioned whether such a scene portrays anything other than occupation.

"Well, that was today's reality for the local population in northern Kosovo, as interim Prime Minister Kurti decided on yet another demonstration of force and hostility towards the Serbian people who remained in the province," Starović emphasized.
