Starovic in Washington with Escobar and representatives of the State Department on Kosovo
State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, Nemanja Starovic, spoke today in Washington with representatives of the State Department about the improvement of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and the political security situation in the Western Balkans region, with special emphasis on issues related to Kosovo.
Starovic had spoken with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the State Department, Gabriel Escobar, and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Mira Resnick, as well as with the representative of the US Department of Defense Spencer Boyer, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO, as well as with the Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Political Affairs, Javier Colomina, the Ministry of Defense announced.
The State Secretary also spoke with representatives of the American - Central European Business Association (ACEBA) at the working lunch.
StaroviC heads the delegation of Serbia to Washington, to participate in the 18th NATO Conference on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation of WMD.
