The transport of dinars was stopped again at the Jarinje crossing; the officials of NBS and Henderson were threatened with arrest
Today, a van with dinars that were intended for the payment of salaries, pensions, social benefits, and other payments to the Serbs was stopped in Jarinje, even though the implementation of the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo on banning payments in dinars was officially postponed.
The armored vehicle with dinars sent from the branch of the National Bank of Serbia in Kragujevac arrived in Jarinje shortly before 11:00 a.m. and was stopped there, and the money was supposed to be delivered to the NBS vault in Lesapovic.
The money in dinars should have been picked up by the vehicle of the British company "Henderson", which has a license for the transport of money, with which the NBS has successfully cooperated for years.
Albanian officials at the Jarinje crossing threatened to arrest the officials who were in the vehicles of the NBS and the Henderson company.
This is the first transport of money after the decision was made to postpone the implementation of the Central Bank of Kosovo's decree on banning the circulation of dinars.
