Trump extended best wishes to Vucic for Serbia’s Statehood Day: I look forward to enhancing our partnership

US President Donald Trump congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the citizens of Serbia on the occasion of Statehood Day, and he emphasized that the United States fully supports Serbia's continued integration into the Euro-Atlantic space, as well as its efforts to promote peaceful and prosperous relations with neighbors and partners in the region.

In a letter, which the Serbian Presidency shared with the public, Trump expressed his anticipation for further strengthening the US-Serbia partnership, and he also expressed satisfaction with the increased cooperation between the two countries, as well as new opportunities for mutual investments in important sectors such as technology and energy.

"On behalf of the people of the United States, I send our best wishes to you and the people of Serbia as you celebrate Statehood Day. I look forward to enhancing our partnership, as we build on the growing ties between our two nations and bring greater security and prosperity to the people of Serbia and the United States. I am pleased by our increased coordination and the resulting new bilateral investment opportunities in important sectors like technology and energy," Trump said.

According to the US President, the United States greatly appreciates Serbia’s significant contribution to international security, whether in support of the Ukrainian people in defending against Russian aggression or in Serbia’s contributions to multiple peacekeeping missions worldwide.

"In the year ahead, I look forward to our work together to increase stability and economic development in the Western Balkans. The United States fully supports Serbia’s continuing integration with the Euro-Atlantic space and efforts to promote peaceful and prosperous relations with your neighbors and partners in the region," the message concluded.
