Uglanin: I have received a request to initiate a petition; I will inform the ministry, the mayor, and the CEC

Citizens of North Mitrovica today submitted a petition in that municipality again calling for the dismissal of the mayor, and the President of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica, Nexhat Uglanin, confirmed for Kosovo Online that he had received the request and would respond within the legal deadline.

Uglanin stated that he received three members today in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica.

"I have received a request to initiate a petition. There were three members, and I received them in the hall of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica. I have protocolized it, and now the next steps are that I will inform the Minister of Local Self-Government, the mayor, and the Central Election Commission", he said.

Uglanin added that he would send the request to the Ministry of Local Self-Government tomorrow, and they would respond within a period of up to five days.

As a reminder, representatives of citizens in the north of Kosovo attempted to submit a request for the dismissal of Albanian mayors on Tuesday, as envisaged by administrative instructions, but they were prevented from doing so in all four municipalities.
