The US Charge d'Affaires to the OSCE Permanent Council, Katherine Brucker, expressed her country's concern over the uncoordinated and provocative actions of the Kosovo government, which, according to her, directly and negatively affect members of the Serbian community and other minorities in Kosovo.

According to Brucker, such actions put the citizens of Kosovo and KFOR soldiers at risk and damage Kosovo's reputation as a reliable international partner.

Brucker stated that the US supports Kosovo as a sovereign, multi-ethnic democracy and encourages its leaders to promote a society that respects the rights of all those living in Kosovo.

"Issues related to the structures supported by Serbia in Kosovo should be resolved through EU-mediated dialogue, as both parties have agreed," Brucker said.

She added that the future of Kosovo lies in Europe, fully integrated into European and Euro-Atlantic institutions.

Bruker emphasized that the EU-mediated normalization dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is the way to ensure Kosovo's better positioning in Europe.

"We reiterate our call for Kosovo and Serbia to urgently proceed with implementation, and we believe that normalization should lead to mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia," she stated.

In conclusion, she emphasized that the US is actively engaged and coordinating with the EU to support peaceful relations between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as the agreements and obligations stemming from the dialogue.
