Von Cramon on the expropriation in the north of Kosovo: It is absolutely unacceptable, we are aware of it

At today's session, the Government of Kosovo adopted the draft of the preliminary decision on the expropriation of land in the municipalities of Leposavic and Zubin Potok, and when asked by Kosovo Online to comment on the said decision, the special envoy of the EP for Kosovo, Viola von Kramon, replied that such a thing is "absolutely unacceptable".

During the press conference after the adoption of the EP report on Kosovo, Von Cramon announced that she would visit Kosovo, but also Serbia, in order to get first-hand information about everything.

"We are aware of that, it is absolutely unacceptable. When I go to Kosovo, I will also go to the north of Kosovo and I will definitely talk to the citizens and find out more about it and of course confront the government in Pristina with the situation on the ground. That is one of my tasks, my main concern at the moment is the stability in the north which is very, very fragile. It is not in our interest to see more gasoline added to the process. Thanks again for the question and we will definitely look into it. The EU Special Envoy in the field will certainly include it in her agenda and we will definitely pay attention to it," said Viola von Cramon.
