Vucevic: After the failure in Brussels, the situation is tense; Kurti's goal to cleanse Kosovo of Serbs

The Minister of Defense of Serbia and the President of the Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, said that after the failure of the last round of dialogue in Brussels, we again have a tense situation on the ground where the Serbian people are exposed to pressure, reports RTV.

Vucevic stated in a guest appearance on TV Prva that the incidents started immediately.

"Two Serbian young men were beaten in Gracanica. Kurti is ready for anything. The Albanians are only going to provoke a conflict and Kurti's goal is to cleanse Kosovo of the Serbs," said Vucevic.

He added that he was also afraid of the reaction of the international community, whose representatives on the first day, that is, when the negotiations were held in Brussels, were fair in their statements, but already on the second day, "some invisible hand wiped it away, so it had to be said that the Serbs were also a bit guilty, not only Albanians".

Answering the question of whether it is known when the elections will be held in Serbia, Vucevic said that the Serbian Progressive Party is ready for the elections and that by October 15 we should expect to know the dates, that is, when and which elections would be held.

"As a party, we are ready for the elections. We talked about this with the President of the country, Aleksandar Vucic, and we believe that we should see if we have the support of the citizens. As far as we are concerned, we can also discuss the December elections. The most important thing is to achieve political agreement on whether we will go to the elections, but we do not accept that someone predetermines or blackmails which elections will be held," he pointed out.

When it comes to the census, he said that unfortunately it will not be possible to open the issue and that he would like to see the return of the five percent census. Vucevic also announced that tonight President Vucic will present a new package of measures that will help citizens get through the period of inflation more easily.

Vucevic pointed out that the Serbian Army had much more than it had in earlier periods, and a strong army, he points out, is needed, because it preserves peace and guarantees freedom.

Speaking about the procurement of weapons, Vucevic pointed out that now it is not at all easy to acquire weapons and military equipment that we do not produce ourselves, but that we will acquire them in all markets where possible.
