Vucevic: Kurti continues his terror against Serbs

Defense Minister Milos Vucevic, appearing on TV Prva, conveyed that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti continued his terror against Serbs.

He emphasized that the situation in Kosovo had been a topic of discussion during the National Security Council meeting, along with the disturbances in Belgrade on Sunday.

"What concerns all of us regarding national security, something that has been a pivotal issue for years, I would say decades, is the situation in Kosovo and Metohija. Kurti continues terrorizing Serbs, he won't stop, and I'm afraid we will have a big problem and a big challenge about all that. Unfortunately, as long as we have situations where Serbian property is invaded, pressure continues on Serbia and Kosovo, and Serbian churches are proclaimed to be something else and belong to others, we here witness scenes where someone tries to set fire to the Old Palace, a symbol of Serbian statehood," Vucevic said.

According to him, there are those who do not have good intentions toward Serbia.

"They want to label us as if we are quarreling with someone, but our state has no such interest. It wants to cooperate with everyone and to be a secure, stable, and economically strong country. Serbia is a state where the rule of law prevails, and no one is above or beyond it. No one can annul the electoral will of the citizens, as that would negate all the values of democracy or the democratic governance of a state. All citizens of Serbia can be assured that no one will forcibly change the decision of citizens at the polling stations. Anything else would render the very holding of elections meaningless, and it would lead to a situation where someone with a stronger team could take over an institution, claim that elections are not important, declare their electoral victory, and thereby truly assert that citizens have no right to decide who should represent the state or lead a city in the next four years," Vucevic stated.

Vucevic also reminded that President Aleksandar Vucic had announced that by Orthodox Christmas, our security agency would release a document analyzing the influence of certain external factors on the electoral process in Serbia.
