Vucevic: Serbia will not allow violence and pogrom against the Serbian people in Kosovo
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vucevic, strongly condemned the raid by members of the Kosovo police special unit on the buildings of the Provisional Authorities in four Serbian municipalities in northern Kosovo and called for an urgent and most severe reaction from the international community.
In a statement, Vucevic emphasized that perhaps today we would not be witnessing these horrific images of violence if there had been different reactions from the beginning, instead of silence and ignoring the violence and criminalization of northern Kosovo, ever since Albin Kurti's regime started targeting Serbs with long-barreled weapons.
He stressed that it is evident that Kurti has set out to fulfill his plan, which is to expel and extinguish everything that is Serbian, including Serbian institutions in Kosovo.
"It is telling that Albin Kurti ordered his latest crackdown on Serbs immediately after the two-day visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Serbia," he noted.
Vucevic underscored that Serbia has clearly conveyed its message that it is firmly committed to peace and stability in the region but will not allow violence and a pogrom against its people.
"For the escalation of violence in Kosovo and Metohija, there is only one party to blame—the regime of Albin Kurti, and that has been demonstrated once again today. Serbs are living under his terror, and this must be urgently stopped," the Serbian Prime Minister declared.
