The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that he had had complex talks with the special representatives of the EU and the US, Miroslav Lajcak, about Kosovo last night, and he announced that he would also talk with the Serbs from Kosovo this weekend.

"We had very complex talks last night, which continued today, I also spoke with the British envoy for the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach, and I will continue with the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, from Friday to Sunday," Vucic said in an address to the public.

The President thanked the Serbs in Kosovo for, as he pointed out, fighting for their rights in a peaceful and dignified manner.

"The State of Serbia is always with them. It is important to preserve the peace and to show that we can talk to everyone, unlike some who think that they can solve their problems with provocations," Vucic said.

Tomorrow, he stated, there would be full-day talks with the President of India, whose visit, he added, was a great honor for Serbia.

"I believe that it will contribute to the further improvement of our relations and economic cooperation. Those are important things," Vucic said.

When asked to comment on the words of Vjosa Osmani's cabinet chief, Blerim Vela, who mentioned the "Serbian Maidan", and why Albanians were happy about the protests in Belgrade, Vucic said that the best answer for those who did not wish good for Serbia was peace, calmness, and seriousness.

"I don't think that the fact that Albanians are rejoicing speaks particularly badly about those who are protesting, even if not about all of them. I think that the best answer is to those who do not wish Serbia well, and I know that Blerim Vela does not wish it well - our peace, calmness, and seriousness," President Vucic stated.
