Vucic: Ethnic cleansing of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is underway

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today that the ethnic cleansing of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija was underway and that attacks on the SOC and the health system, which, he stated, were the two pillars of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, were also underway.

"Yesterday, I had talks with the European representative in the dialogue with Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, and the EU tried as much as possible to request some kind of de-escalation. The Republic of Serbia fulfilled everything that was required of it in order for de-escalation to occur, but it is not happening, because the regime in Pristina does not want it," Vucic said and added:

"Today, our country finds itself in the most difficult situation, not through its own fault, not because of its lack of seriousness, but because of the daily activities of the regime in Pristina or those who remain silent or look favorably on these actions, and who carry out what I would call silent ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, where the Serbs have no right to live unless they swore to the regime of Albin Kurti. Fortunately, there are very few of them," Vucic said and continued.

"I want to inform you that the action of the pogrom, persecution, and ethnic cleansing carried out by the Pristina regime against the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is well organized, planned, and essentially supported by certain circles in the international community."

It started in Strpce

"Firstly, they made a decision that all distinguished Serbs who could be a point of resistance to the regime in Pristina, those people must be arrested or killed. That action started in Strpce as early as 2021. The people who were arrested then are in custody for a year and a half, and they were arrested for alleged abuse of an official position. There is no such case in the world. Strpce has been “beheaded”. EULEX is silent, the international community is silent. I can't keep quiet,” President Vucic said.

Vucic stated that additional elements were currently at work - an attack on the SOC and the health system, which, as he stated, were the two pillars of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

Vucic stated that the action had been very carefully prepared.

"First, the full criminalization of the Serbs had to be done; many foreign media and domestic media helped them in this, encouraged by foreign governments. That criminalization was so horrible that no one spoke of the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija as the Serbs, but as the members of criminalized groups," the President said.

During his address, Vucic also showed a map.

"I will show you one map; a second part of the action with which they are trying to further intimidate the Serbs in the north. This is the last map for you from this morning with the situation and with everything that the Kosovo Police is, and they have no right to be in such a composition in the north of Kosovo and Metohija. They occupied the following points - Jarinje, Sarpelj, Tusnice, Bare, Lesak, Belo Brdo, Stanulovici, Stava, Dren, Josanica, Slatina, Bistrica Bridge most, Izvori, Gazivode, Banje, Brnjak, Zlatare, Lucki most..." Vucic stated all the points drawn on the map he showed.

The President said that the goal of this was that the Serbs could no longer erect barricades, to prevent any importation of goods, so that the Serbs would be left without food and medicine, to bring complete fear into every Serbian home, and to bribe those abject Serbs at an expensive price who would do anything against their own people, and all for the occupier, which fortunately are few.

According to him, the second part of the action is underway in which they are trying to intimidate the additional population in the north.

He stated that the Kosovo Police had nothing to look for and that they had occupied several points in order to show that the Serbs could not erect barricades, prevent the import of Serbian goods, in order to instill fear in every Serbian house, and ensure the presence of those abject Serbs who wanted to please the occupier with bribery.

About Alicia Kearns' allegations

Speaking about the accusations of the British MP Alicia Kearns, about the smuggling of weapons from Serbia to the SOC facilities in Kosovo, Vucic said that she was telling the worst lies about the Serbs and the citizens of Serbia.

"That lady says that she will demand an investigation. Don't worry madam, we are already conducting an investigation against you to see on what basis you told all those lies and who is paying you for everything, and why you are putting Serbia in such a position. If the Government of Great Britain has not found it appropriate to react, it is not a problem, we are forced to react," Vucic said.

The President of Serbia pointed out that "we are ready to continue the talks, but it is clear to us that things have gotten out of control and that Serbia and the Serbs have been pushed against the wall."

We were waiting for the formation of the CSM

"I want to repeat to the representatives of the EU and the US that we will fulfill everything. We were waiting for you to form the CSM in order to start fulfilling what we discussed in Ohrid, Brussels, and Belgrade. We were waiting to see any serious process on that issue and we haven’t seen anything. We were waiting to see the release of innocent people because EULEX was so correct that it had to write that these people had been beaten, that they didn't see any case, and why these people had been detained," Vucic said.

The Pristina regime, he says, has found enough reason to arrest every Serb, especially in the north of Kosovo, because they will tell everyone that they are members of the "Northern Brigade" or "Civil Protection" and then they can make lists and behead the Serbs.

"It is a direct call for cleansing, the most direct and brutal call for ethnic cleansing," the President pointed out.

"The Quint controls all processes from EULEX to NATO and everything else. These are the five most powerful Western countries - the US, Great Britain, Germany, France, and Italy. They let go, and examine as if in some testing center until the last moment, where the nerves of Belgrade and Serbia are so that they all do as much work together as possible. To say that they are supposedly against Kurti's measures and on the other hand they allow Kurti everything," Vucic said.

Vucic stated that they could have told Kurti that they would not allow his minister to come to the municipality's premises, that they would not allow them to illegally take possession of all this in Kosovo, but they had not said anything, nor that they illegally took possession of something in the north of Kosovo, nor what they were doing illegally.

"All this is the source and cause of the crisis in Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic said and assessed that they wanted the Serbs not to be in the north.

He pointed out that there were almost no Albanians there, only two percent.

"You can't make the north Albanian by force, but they try to do everything and push everything they can because it's normal for them to lie and arrest people because of their T-shirts. Everything is allowed to them, because it's their child, and essentially we should not expect things to change," Vucic said.

Vucic also said that Serbia had hoped that the British government would issue an apology for the statement of MP Alicia Kearns but now we knew that they would not receive it, and neither would they from us.

Vucic added that the forces of KFOR behaved most professionally and that there was nothing dishonest in communication with them.
