Vucic: I expect significant pressures regarding Kosovo, most intensely in January and February

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, in an appearance on TV Prva, said that he expects significant pressures regarding Kosovo. Vucic mentioned that the essence of everything is that they want to resolve the Kosovo issue before initiating any talks about Ukraine. According to him, Putin will be able to say at some point, "How come you don't recognize, and you've made a Kosovo precedent."

"It's Russia's interest. He's looking for something to hold onto, how to explain it - I entered and took Crimea, took Donbas, took Zaporizhzhia, historical right, and I don't know what else. That doesn't work in the modern world; a legal precedent must be found. He fought for his country. If I were in his place (note by the author, Putin), I would probably use that too. He fought for his country, now it wasn't to our advantage. They must take that into account in the West. We have made efforts on many things. For example, about license plates. Of course, that decision is not pleasing to Serbs, but I think that decision will benefit the Serbian people. There are things I can't speak about publicly. We have avoided many things and traps for Serbia, but I will be able to talk about it sometime in the future. At the end of January and in the second half of February, the pressures will be most intense. Clear answers will come from our side, and it will be an answer that can be interpreted one way or another. In January and February, there will be a peak in the campaign for the European Parliament elections. Then everyone from those who hate Serbia, from Schieder to Groselj, will lecture us about Serbia, how we are Russian governorates, colonies, how there is no democracy in Serbia. This is not about Vucic but about the Serbian question. Since they probably think they will get some Albanian votes more or I don't know what, because these are all people who not only support an independent Kosovo but are also outspoken Albanian lobbyists. People in Serbia need to know that. Those who are on the side of one list, Serbia against violence and criticize the government in Belgrade, 95 percent of them are outspoken Albanian lobbyists.
