Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke on the phone with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and informed him about the unbearable situation for the Serbian community in Kosovo, as well as about Pristina's persistent avoidance of fulfilling its accepted and signed obligations, especially regarding the formation of the CSM.

Vucic stated on Instagram that he had a good and open exchange of opinions with the German Chancellor on all mutually interesting issues, the situation in Kosovo, as well as the very successful economic cooperation and the constant increase in trade between the two countries.

"I thanked Germany for its dedication to excellent economic relations with Serbia and the significant investments that have greatly contributed to Serbia's rapid progress. I particularly emphasized the enormous investment potential that has opened up within the framework of EXPO 2027. I expressed my belief that German companies will find interest in some of the largest projects, the realization of which will contribute in the long term to Serbia's strong growth and the integration of the entire region," Vucic wrote on Instagram.

He added that he and Scholz had exchanged opinions on all delicate issues in the context of current global events, especially on Serbia's place and role in maintaining peace and stability in the region, as well as its European path.

"I extensively informed Chancellor Scholz about the almost intolerable situation for the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as about Pristina's persistent avoidance of fulfilling its accepted and signed obligations, especially regarding the formation of the CSM. I emphasized that on this not always easy path, we need the help of our partners, such as Germany, and that we count on the continuation of support for Euro-integrations, as well as on concrete incentives that would give new impetus to the continuation of reform processes and new energy to candidate countries on the path to the EU," Vucic stated.

Vucic reiterated that Serbia consistently advocated for intensifying diplomatic activities in the context of all current conflicts and open issues that burdened Europe and the Western Balkans, which it had always shown in all forums and initiatives thus far.
