The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today that the arrests of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija would continue, because, as he stated, Albin Kurti's intention was to arrest everyone who was capable of defending the north, Novosti reports.

"Kurti's intention is to arrest all those who are physically and intellectually capable of defending the north, in order to expel people or occupy that part of Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic said, speaking to journalists after visiting the final works on the construction of the "Palic" aqua park.

He pointed out that Serbia was facing a difficult period.

"Certainly, a difficult period is ahead of us, but it will not be as easy for Kurti as he imagined," the President of Serbia said.

As a reminder, members of the Kosovo Police yesterday detained Aleksandar Alagic, an athlete who, since the arrest of Milun Milenkovic, has been running a kickboxing club in North Mitrovica at the Bistrica Bridge checkpoint.

Members of the Kosovo Police stopped the vehicle in which Alagic was with his mother on the Bistrica Bridge. He was taken in for questioning and then released.
