The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated today that in the next two weeks he will have the opportunity to meet with numerous world officials, including, as he mentioned, the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

"I believe I will have the opportunity to see and meet with President Trump as well. I don’t have full confirmation yet, but I believe it will happen," Vucic said during a visit to the construction site of the Preljina-Pozega section of the "Milos Veliki" highway, responding to a journalist's question.

Vucic said that several European officials – Marta Kos, Kaja Kallas, and Antonio Costa – will visit Serbia over the next 15 days and added that he will also travel to Moscow.

"We will be talking with all the key and most important people in the world," Vucic emphasized.

Speaking about the Preljina-Pozega section, Vucic highlighted that it is crucial for connecting western Serbia with Belgrade, as well as with the rest of the country. The President also added that American companies are interested in working on the Kraljevo-Novi Pazar road, as well as the section from Pozega to Kotroman.

He noted that due to protests and blockades, Serbia's growth rate has decreased.

"We now have to revise all our forecasts, we have to see how much smaller the increases in salaries and pensions will be. Because of the destruction of the country over the past six months, it is now difficult to find that money," Vucic pointed out.

Among other things, Vucic also commented on the award that Natasa Kandic received in Pristina.

"Everyone to their own flock. I received mine from Gracanica, she from Pristina. Everyone rejoices with their own flock," Vucic said.

To recall, the Mayor of Pristina, Perparim Rama, awarded the Key to the City to human rights activist Natasa Kandic for, as he stated, "her role in documenting Serbian crimes during the war in Kosovo."
