Vucic meets Sinirlioğlu: Stability is crucial to the future of the Western Balkans
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu and stressed that Serbia remains firmly committed to a responsible and serious policy based on respect for international law, dialogue and the preservation of peace.
“A good and substantive discussion with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu on the current security and political challenges facing the region and Europe, as well as the OSCE’s role in preserving peace, security and mutual trust. We discussed the continuation of cooperation, the implementation of reforms, improvements to the electoral process and the strengthening of democratic institutions. I stressed that Serbia remains firmly committed to a responsible and serious policy based on respect for international law, dialogue and the preservation of peace,” Vucic wrote on Instagram.
He added that he and his interlocutor had also exchanged views on the situation in the region, agreeing that stability and a responsible approach are crucial to the future of the Western Balkans.
“I am convinced that only a responsible approach, mutual respect and consistent fulfilment of the commitments undertaken can contribute to strengthening trust and ensuring a safer future for all citizens,” Vucic concluded.
