Vucic meets Zelensky in Odesa: A significant discussion on key geopolitical challenges

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Summit in Odesa, emphasizing that he had a significant and open discussion on key issues of contemporary geopolitical challenges facing Europe and the world.

“We exchanged views on the importance of achieving long-term and sustainable peace, respecting international law, and the role of diplomacy in overcoming conflicts. We also discussed economic topics, as well as our shared goals in achieving the strongest possible cooperation in various societal spheres as the foundation for future progress,” Vucic wrote on Instagram.

Vucic also met with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit.

“Although brief, it was always a good meeting with my friend Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with whom I exchanged views on the situation in the region, security and economic challenges, as well as the main issues of our bilateral relations. I emphasized that the intensive contacts and strong mutual trust between Serbia and Greece are one of the pillars of stability in the Western Balkans, and that through joint projects of mutual interest we will further strengthen our friendly relations and economic cooperation,” Vucic stressed.
