Vucic: Pristina and the international community worked together all the time, playing the role of good and bad policeman

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today, on the occasion of granting Kosovo the status of an associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, that this is one step higher and pointed out that Kosovo - during the time it is under sanctions - has also received visa liberalization, and will probably also receive a membership in the Council of Europe.

Vucic also pointed out that the international community likes to do it "on dates like this", reminding that today marks the 25th anniversary of the NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia.

"Dates are important to them, that's why they forced our poor people to hand over Milosevic on Vidovdan, that's why today they decided on Pristina as an associated member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, that's why they will again choose a special day when they will receive them in the Council of Europe and all this ostensibly by implementing sanctions against Pristina. You can imagine sanctions in which they are given visa liberalization, an associated member of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO, that is one step higher than what they were until now, membership in the Council of Europe - those sanctions are heavy," said the president.

As he states, it only shows that the international community and Pristina played as a coordinated team all the time and that they worked together all the time.

"It shows that they only played a good and a bad policeman and nothing more than that. No matter how small we are, no matter how smart we are and how smart they are, we are still not idiots, but Serbia will live, they don't understand that for us Serbs freedom is more important and bigger than air, bigger and more important than everything and that we will always be able to preserve and defend the freedom of our people and the sky and the land of our Serbia," said Vucic.

Vucic, during a tour of the factory of the company Borbeni complex sistemi in Pljakovo near Kursumlija, where the Lazar and Milos armored combat vehicles are produced, emphasized that Serbia must take care of itself and strengthen the country's army and defense capacities.

"We have to take care of ourselves, of our own army. It is obvious that the time of challenges in the geopolitical sense is ahead of us. Will we be able to position ourselves in the best possible way and in those difficult times to preserve peace and people, but also the country , as well as deterring any potential aggressor? That is a big and important issue for us," Vucic pointed out.

He emphasized that in any case, Serbia must continue to strengthen the army, as well as its defense capacities.
