Vucic receives New Year greetings from Xi, Putin, bin Zayed, al-Sisi, Costa, and others
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has received holiday greetings from numerous foreign officials on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, the President’s Media Cooperation Service announced.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wished President Vucic good health and happiness, and the friendly people of Serbia continued progress and prosperity.
Greetings were also sent by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, as well as the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who noted in his message that Russian-Serbian relations are founded on centuries-old traditions of friendship, mutual respect, and spiritual closeness. He expressed confidence that the further development of the strategic partnership, along with mutually beneficial and constructive cooperation in various fields, fully corresponds to the interests of the fraternal peoples.
Putin wished Vucic good health, happiness, and success, and all citizens of Serbia peace and prosperity.
President Vucic also received holiday greetings from the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, and the President of Poland Karol Nawrocki.
The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, wished that 2026 would mark renewed commitment to revitalizing joint efforts and constructive engagement, guided by dialogue and mutual understanding, strengthening bilateral relations, fostering closer cooperation, and achieving tangible benefits for the two friendly nations, the statement said.
Greetings were also sent by the Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. Along with warm wishes for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Serbia, as well as good health and success, Pezeshkian expressed hope that through joint efforts and cooperation the two countries would be able to contribute to peace and security in a turbulent world.
President Vucic also received holiday greetings from the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung, as well as the President of the European Council António Costa and the Vice President of the UAE and Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Greetings were also conveyed by the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who wished the citizens of Serbia a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, emphasizing that the year ahead holds the promise of even stronger dialogue and partnership between the two countries, reaffirming their shared commitment to stability and the well-being of the citizens of Serbia and Greece.
Holiday greetings to the President of Serbia were also sent by the Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia Anthony Albanese, the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as well as Spain’s King Felipe VI, King Harald V of Norway, and Denmark’s King Frederik X.
