Vucic: The return to dialogue and normalization of relations lie in the urgent formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic emphasized in a conversation with the EU Special Envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, that the return to constructive dialogue and normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia lies in the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, specifically the urgent formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM).
Vucic stated on Instagram that the meeting discussed the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo, who, as he highlights, are exposed to constant pressure and the arbitrary actions of the authorities in Pristina.
"An open and frank discussion with Miroslav Lajcak about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the almost impossible living conditions for the Serbian population caused by constant pressures and the arbitrary actions of the authorities in Pristina. I reiterated that the return to constructive dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and the normalization of relations primarily lies in the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, specifically the urgent formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities," emphasized the President of Serbia.
He added that Serbia will remain a responsible partner to the EU within the dialogue, as well as a support and protector for the Serbian people in Kosovo.
"The EU, as the main mediator in this process, has had and will continue to have a serious and responsible partner in Serbia, and for our people in Kosovo and Metohija, we remain an unwavering support and protector of their homes and future," he pointed out.
