The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, had a phone conversation with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, in which he presented the consequences of the dangerous development of the situation in Kosovo and asked him to make an additional effort to reason with the Pristina side.

"As always, an open and serious conversation with President Emmanuel Macron, to whom I presented the consequences of the dangerous development of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija. The increasingly overt violence against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is further distancing any possibility of civilized dialogue and approaching the resolution of outstanding issues," Vucic wrote on his Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".

As he also stated, he emphasized in the conversation with the French President that Serbia remains committed to dialogue and the preservation of peace.

"I emphasized that Serbia remains committed to dialogue and the preservation of peace, even though the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija is the only ethnic group in Europe exposed to constant violence. I asked President Macron to make an additional effort to reason with the Pristina side and to bring them back to the framework of concrete discussions, as well as for them to stop undermining all efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation," the Serbian President conveyed.

Vucic thanked Macron for being willing to listen to Belgrade.

"I thanked President Macron for being willing to listen to Belgrade and for the determination to engage further in order to resolve the extremely complex and dangerous situation in Kosovo and Metohija," the Serbian President emphasized.
