Vucic: They can invite me to Brussels only after the CSM formation, it makes no sense for me to go touristically

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today that they could call him to Brussels only after the CSM had been formed, anything else would have been just because of tourism.

Vucic, who attended the opening of the renovated "Planinka" Hotel in Kursumlijska Banja today, was asked about the announcement by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, that he would invite the leaders of Belgrade and Pristina to Brussels to push the European plan, and he said that he had seen the statement.

"They can say what they want, but they have to tell me what is the meaning of it. I have never avoided talking about anything and any issue. Before that, the CSM. If you are inviting me to Brussels only to persuade me to say that the CSM can be at the same time as something or after something, don't invite me, because then you're inviting me for tourism, and I'm not interested since I've been to Brussels 200 times. If you invite me, first let me know they've delivered the CSM, and when they do, I'll come to discuss everything else," Vucic said.

Vucic emphasized that, of course, he would go touristically if he was called, so that Serbia would not be guilty of anything, but that they should not expect to accept anything.

Asked to comment on Albin Kurti's statement that there are 11 mayors of municipalities in Serbia who are not of Serbian nationality and do not have special communities, Vucic emphasized that it was foolishness and insolence.

"He would like to equate the legal, political, and state-legal status of Serbia and what he calls the Republic of Kosovo. We are having conversations right now because they are not the same. You have nothing to discuss about central Serbia. We have one topic and it is on the table. Serbia and Kosovo are not the same. When someone thinks he has the right to be arrogant because he thinks he has great protectors, what could we do. These are senseless tricks that don't go well with me or with anyone busy with their work," Vucic emphasized.

When asked what he discussed with the Quint ambassadors, he said they were the ambassadors to the OSCE in Vienna.

"They told me what they think about Kosovo, and I told them what I think about Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic underlined.

Asked to comment on the statement of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, after Kurti's meeting with Miroslav Lajcak, that the Kosovo Prime Minister did not accept any agreement from Brussels, and that the next steps should be discussed and which agreements should be modified, i.e., implemented, Vucic said that was "nice that they all said what they think, and that now it is up to their supporters and big western friends to solve it."

When it comes to the Nis-Merdare highway, he announced that the first section Nis-Merosin would be opened soon, and after that the Plocnik section, and then from Kursumljija to Merdare.
