Vucic: They want us to recognize Kosovo so that the Serbs can go to the elections in Kosovo and Metohija
There will be no elections in Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija. Kurti does not want to grant Serbs the natural right to participate, and the West will always say that it cannot exert pressure on Kurti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated.
President Vucic is currently in Dubai, attending the COP28 Climate Change Leaders Summit.
"We have to recognize Kosovo for Serbs to be able to participate in elections. Nothing more, nothing less. Everyone in Europe knows this; it's good that they will react, but we won't gain much from that reaction. Therefore, there will be no elections in Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija because Albin Kurti does not want to allow Serbs their natural and normal right to participate. The West will always tell us that there is no possibility to exert pressure on Kurti, and they will issue a statement, as Stano already did, and that's it. In any case, we need to think about how to protect our interests and how far and for how long we can protect them," Vucic stated.
The Serbian President mentioned that he had had important meetings in Dubai.
"We had important meetings. I talked with Charles Michel and with the presidents of Hungary, Poland, and Belarus, as well as with people from the IMF," Vucic said, emphasizing that all discussions were of special significance for Serbia.
