Vucic with von der Leyen: Serbia for a compromise solution with clearly stated limitations

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen today, with whom he exchanged opinions on the current situation in the region, the continuation of Serbia's European integration path, the necessary reforms, as well as the progress of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

President Vucic expressed his gratitude to the European Commission for its help and support in the development and modernization of the energy and transport infrastructure in Serbia, as well as for the personal commitment that Commission President von der Leyen provided to the Serbia's European path.

"President Vucic emphasized Serbia's determination to continue with the reform processes with the aim of a better life for all citizens and achieving the status of a full member of the European Union. On this occasion, European Commission President von der Leyen emphasized that Serbia's future was in the EU and called for further important steps to be taken on that path. President Vucic informed President von der Leyen about the status of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, emphasizing Serbia's commitment to talks under the auspices of the EU and to finding a compromise solution for normalization of relations, with clearly stated limitations, all with the goal of preserving peace and stability and expanding regional cooperation," it is stated on the Instagram profile of the Serbian President.
