Vucic: We are facing the insolence of certain Western powers

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that Serbia was facing the insolence of certain Western powers that demanded that the barricades get removed and that the Serbs return to their institutions, and he added that they should first form the CSM, Novosti reports.

After important meetings, Vucic pointed out from Azerbaijan that the families of the arrested Serbs from Kosovo were going through a dramatic situation.

"We are facing great insolence coming from the outside, from certain Western powers. They say 'remove the barricades and return to the institutions', well first you form the CSM, which is the first obligation according to the Brussels Agreement. I will not tell you what kind of drama the families of arrested Serbs are going through. And why? Because they would like to survive and be themselves. They say 'we may let them go, but ROSU has to pass here and there'. Is Dejan Pantic Osama Bin Laden? What did Pantic do? Tell us finally what did that man do. He appeared in his building, carrying bread and milk. They say that they will maybe let him go for treatment, but ROSU has to bring him. That only shows what the attitude towards Serbs and Serbia is. It is not absurd that someone's troops are on the Serbian holy land, but it is absurd that there are Serbian troops," Vucic pointed out.

Vucic adds that he expects a negative response from KFOR to Serbia's request for the deployment of our troops to Kosovo.

"I expect them to say that they are capable of performing their duties. But KFOR's behavior is incomparably more correct than many Western governments. They behave following Resolution 1244, their powers, they have the right and obligation to answer us, and they treat it seriously and responsibly, unlike everyone else. Aliyev told me several times today – whenever you think of relying on international law, know that it is the law for us, little ones, and we will always refer to it. For others, it doesn't exist. When you are cornered, you have nothing to lose. We have to develop our countries, to fight for our people. When we have nowhere to go, like a rat in a corner, we will fight with all four legs," Vucic said.

In response to the journalist's statement that everyone from Pristina is quoting the German ambassador and saying that Germany has shattered illusions about Serbia's dominance in the Balkans, Vucic says that he never fantasized about domination but about cooperation.

"I congratulate them on that. We do not have any kind of dominance, we have never dreamed of dominance but of cooperation. We want good cooperation with Germany, but we have our own country and our own people, and we want the best relations with Germany," Vucic said.
