Vucic: What is the FES to deal with the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, that is not their job
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, asked this evening, after the permanent representative of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation (FES) in Pristina, Rene Schlee, said that the drafting of the statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities was completed - "what does that German non-governmental organization have to do with the CSM and who are they to deal with it?"
"What made me particularly mad with anger today... We are informed that the 'Friedrich Ebert Foundation, of the German SPD party, is drafting the CSM Statute. That a German non-governmental organization talks about the competences of the CSM... It is not your job, there is a Serbian management team that should deal with it. It's not your job," said Vucic and asked:
"Who are you to deal with CSM? What do you have to do with the Serbs?".
Vucic pointed out that this must be done by the Management Team, which was formed, which was signed and approved.
He also added that he was aware that he "made a mistake" and that he would be attacked from all sides because he asked what the FES is to deal with this and what does it have to do with Germany.
"Why are you suggesting anything about it, if it's anyone's business, it's a matter for Serbs and Albanians," said Vucic.
He said that they should not interfere in what the Serbs in Kosovo will do in their municipalities.
"The exercise of powers is disputed, and we are talking about healthcare, education, culture, social welfare, what is the essence, so that we could finance it through CSM, so that they do not depend on Pristina. Like today, nothing more than that. But they do not give executive powers, because it is not in accordance with their so-called Constitution," Vucic said.
Regarding the statement that it is said that the CSM will then be like Republic of Srpska, he asked who and why the Republic of Srpska, which was formed by the Dayton Agreement, is bothering.
"Why is the Republic of Srpska ugly to them? It is beautiful to me. And, to them, it is ugly because they can't stand anything that is Serbian. Everything they hear that has Serbian in it, they would most like if it didn't exist. That there is no Republic of Srpska, the north of Kosovo, nor Serbs in Kosovo south of the Ibar," Vucic said.
