Milivojevic: Drafting of the CSM Statute is an attempt to politically abuse the Brussels Agreement
Former diplomat, Zoran Milivojevic, said that the German "Friedrich Ebert" foundation had no basis to draft the CSM Statute, adding that it could be treated as an attempt not to implement the Brussels Agreement in its original form.
Milivojevic stated for Kosovo Online that the drafting of the CSM Statute by the German foundation "Friedrich Ebert" represented an attempt to politically abuse the Brussels Agreement and the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
"There is no reason to advertise the Foundation "Friedrich Ebert" or any other non-governmental organization regarding the drafting of the statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities. This is within the competence of the Management Team and has nothing to do with third parties. Therefore, this can only be interpreted as an attempt to politically abuse the Brussels Agreement, i.e. the CSM," Milivojevic said.
As he stated, the authority for drafting the statute was clearly defined and the statute could only be drafted according to the basic Brussels Agreement.
Milivojevic believes that non-governmental organizations are dealing with this issue without authorization.
"It cannot be treated otherwise than as an attempt not to implement the Brussels Agreement in its original form, because the CSM is clearly defined by the agreement of April 19, 2013, and elaborated in the 2015 agreement, and it should only be adhered to. Everything else is unnecessary, and if it has political or other motives, then it can be treated as an attempt to prevent the full implementation of the Brussels Agreement," Milivojevic added.
According to him, considering that it was a German non-governmental organization that was connected to the Social Democrats, the drafting of the CSM Statute could be connected to the interest of Germany, which, as he stated, provided support to Pristina.
"Since it is an NGO that is connected to Germany and the Social Democrats who are now in power, it can somehow be connected to Germany's interest in participating in the drafting of the statute through that NGO, and this confirms what we already know, that the German side supports the Pristina side, including the views of the Pristina side on the full implementation of the Brussels Agreement," Milivojevic concluded.
