Vucic with world leaders in Davos: Gratitude for support to Serbia and the Western Balkans on the path to the EU

During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and Argentine President Javier Milei.

"A warm meeting with my friend Emmanuel Macron and a discussion on the main topics of the World Economic Summit in Davos and Serbia's prospects on the European path. I thanked President Macron for dedicating a part of his presentation at the World Economic Forum to our country, stating that the EU was a good project for Serbia, which had chosen that path, expressing his support in a special way", Vucic wrote on Instagram, along with a short video of the friendly and warm meeting with Macron.

In his address today, Macron specifically mentioned Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic.

"His country is on the path to the European Union, and he is determined because the EU is a project that is not dependent on blocs and is not a project of hegemony", the French President said.

Earlier, the President of Serbia was mentioned by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro in his address.

Sanchez, upon noticing the presence of the Serbian President in the room, emphasized that Vucic was not only his friend but also a great friend of Spain, and that he was always glad to see him.

"We are opening up to the Western Balkans, to which we are committed... Vucic is a friend of Spain and my friend. I'm glad to see him", Sanchez said, to which Vucic expressed his gratitude.

During the bilateral meeting, Vucic and Sanchez discussed current issues and the relations between the two countries. Vucic invited the Spanish Prime Minister to visit Serbia.

"With a great and sincere friend of Serbia, Pedro Sanchez, I talked about current issues in our bilateral relations, as well as the topics that marked this year's Summit in Davos. I invited Sanchez to visit Serbia again so that we can present our new vision of Serbia and plans for EXPO2027 and discuss possibilities for further cooperation", Vucic wrote.

President Vucic also met with the new President of Argentina, Javier Milei, in Davos.

"I had the honor to meet Javier Milei, and I believe that we will continue the good cooperation with Argentina in the future", Vucic stated.
