Zelensky congratulated Vucic on Statehood Day: Counting on further development of cooperation between Ukraine and Serbia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Serbian people on Statehood Day, emphasizing his expectation for further development of cooperation between the two countries aimed at securing safety on the European continent and establishing just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Vucic shared the congratulatory message from his Ukrainian counterpart on Instagram.

"On behalf of the Ukrainian people and myself personally, I congratulate you and the entire Serbian nation on your national holiday—Statehood Day of Serbia. This day symbolizes the independence, unity, and pride of the Serbian people. Our historical heritage and desire for freedom are common values that unite the European nations. I count on the further development of our countries' cooperation aimed at security on the European continent and establishing just and lasting peace in Ukraine," Zelensky stated.

He also took the opportunity to wish the President of Serbia good health and success in his important state activities, and peace, unity, and prosperity to the Serbian people.
