Zogaj: While Serbian diplomacy holds important meetings, Kosovo focuses on building a bridge over the Ibar
Analyst Petrit Zogaj commented on the meeting between Serbia’s Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington, noting that while Serbian diplomacy is holding important meetings, Kosovo is focused on building two bridges over the Ibar River.
Zogaj ironically remarked that Kosovo is “busy building two bridges.”
“Kosovo is a bit busy building two bridges, and once we are done – andthese ‘capital’ projects usually don’t take long – maybe we will find some time to meet with Rubio,” Zogaj wrote on Facebook.
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met yesterday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, to whom he said he conveyed the pressures and problems facing Serbs in Kosovo, emphasizing that the situation requires international engagement to preserve stability.
While in Washington, Djuric also held talks with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, senior State Department official for European and Eurasian affairs Brendan Hanrahan, and Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs Adam Boehler.
