In Zvecan and Zubin Potok, the members of the electoral committees violated the Election Rules of the CEC
Although there are less than 24 hours left until the beginning of the elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, the public is not yet aware of who will be the members of the election committees, at least not in North Mitrovica and Leposavic. According to the unofficial data we obtained, in the municipalities of Zvecan and Zubin Potok, people were appointed as members of election committees who, by law, cannot perform tasks intended for members of election committees.
Namely, Article 5 of the "Election Rules of the CEC" states that in order for someone to be appointed as a member of the election committee, that person must be a registered voter in the same municipality where the election station is located.
However, on the list of people who will conduct the elections in Zvecan and Zubin Potok, there are senior officials of the election commissions outside the municipalities in the north.
Also, according to the rules, this work cannot be performed by persons who are employed in the Central Election Commission, and according to our knowledge, in addition to senior municipal officials, those who worked at the CEC secretariat as trainers who conducted trainings per municipalities are also involved.
Among the irregularities in the composition of the election committee members, it is noticeable that at one election station in the municipality of Zvecan, out of five members of the election board, as many as four have the same last name, and on the list, which Kosovo Online had access to, ten members were assigned to two election stations, they are all Albanians and they all come from two families.
