Ambulance drivers from Serbia collected aid for the family of Igor Milenkovic from Leposavic, who was killed in Banjska
Ambulance driver Dejan Kezovic from Ivanjica, one of the founders of the Viber group, which includes around 1,200 ambulance drivers from all over the country, initiated an action in which these humane people collected around 520,000 dinars in aid for the wife and children of their colleague Igor Milenkovic from Leposavic, who was killed in Banjska, reports Novosti.
They presented the family with money on the occasion of the forty-day commemoration.
"When Igor died, one of us in the viber group announced it and expressions of condolences began to pour in. Since I am the founder of the group, my proposal was to express solidarity with the family of the victim colleague in a different way and suggested that we notify about an account into which anyone could deposit money, as much as they can," explains Kezovic.
And while he explains that his colleagues expressed their solidarity with the tragically injured Igor, who was killed on September 24 in Banjska, he reiterates that in addition to financial aid to his family, they wanted to make it known that they would always be by their side if they needed it.
"It was very poignant at the forty-day anniversary of our colleague. Since we can no longer help him, we can certainly meet his wife, with whom he has two children aged nine and twelve, whenever needed," adds Kezovic.
He points out that he printed the most emotional expressions of condolences sent by colleagues on the Viber group and handed them to Igor's wife Darinka.
The money, he says, is to be spent, and sincere expressions of condolences and solidarity in difficult times with Igor's family remain in memory and framed on paper.
Stefan Nedeljkovic from Zvecan and Bojan Mijailovoc and Igor Milenkovic from Leposavic were killed in a clash by the Kosovo police in Banjska on September 24.
