Citizens of Leposavic: Life made even more difficult, but we continue the fight

The citizens of Leposavic are expressing their concerns and determination following the recent closure of the Serbian Post offices in their area. They highlight that this action by the Kosovo authorities has further complicated their lives, but they are committed to continuing their struggle to remain on their land.

"The closure of the post office will certainly make our position here in northern Kosovo even more difficult and it is not good for us, as it is one of the valuable institutions that remained operational. But what can we do, we will continue to fight here in this area," said Radenko Arsenijevic from Leposavic.

"It hasn't been long since I started living here. I'm not originally from here; my husband is from Dren, and I am from Koper, Slovenia, where I lived since I was a child and earned my pension. Now I have come to Dren, but it is not right what is being done to the people here. No people deserve such treatment. There are no Serbian products, and there are no conditions for the people living here," said Bojanic.

Stojan Mladjovic briefly reminded that Serbs from the north have to travel to Raska to buy medicines, collect salaries, and pensions.

"The closure of everything, including the Post Office, is a disaster for the Serbs. We have to go to Raska for medicines, money, pensions, and everything," said Mladjovic.
