Serb List condemned the repeated attack on the returnee's house in Novo Selo Madjunsko
The Serb List has condemned the arson attack on the house of the returnee Ranko Janackovic's family in Novo Selo Madjunsko, in the municipality of Vucitrn, emphasizing that significant material damage was caused and that the house was almost completely burned down.
"The heinous attack on the Janackovic family is the work of extremists who do not accept this family's decision not to leave their homeland and sell their property. This is a family home that the Janackovic family rebuilt and raised from the ashes twice, and it was nearly ready for occupancy before it was set on fire again yesterday. In a society that the regime in Pristina advertises as the most democratic, attacks on Serbs are an everyday occurrence, speaking directly against what Kurti and others represent to the international public," the Serb List statement said.
As it is added, there is a real danger that, like the previous two cases, this third one may never have a judicial epilogue, and the perpetrators remain unknown.
"This is a discouraging fact," the statement emphasized.
The Serb List called on the international community to make maximum efforts and exert pressure on the Kosovo Police to stop concealing attackers on the Serbian people and Serbian property and to find and punish those responsible.
"EULEX and KFOR must strengthen their presence in Serbian communities and ensure peace and security for all citizens, as this is their duty under the mandate they received from UN Security Council Resolution 1244," the Serb List emphasized.
