Serbs from Kosovo Pomoravlje: We want peace and to survive on our hearths
The inhabitants of Kosovsko Pomoravlje, who gathered today in the Draganac Monastery on the occasion of the celebration of the most joyous Christian holiday Easter, say that they just want peace and to stay at their hearths.
Milos Stanojkovic from Shilovo said that tolerance and peace were most important for everyone in Kosovo.
"Peace, coexistence, tolerance and respect are more important for all of us. What Easter and Christ himself suggest," Stanojkovic pointed out.
Jovan Simic from Shilovo says that this holiday should teach us forgiveness.
"Just to be patient, to have the peace and tranquility that we have always had," Simic said.
Guests from central Serbia and abroad also attended the celebration of Easter in the monastery of Draganac.
Ana Pokrajac with her son came from London to celebrate Easter with her family.
"It's wonderful here, like halfway to heaven. I came with my son, who has a rare disease, they fed him and entertained him," said Pokrajac.
Radovanka Ognjenovic from Novi Sad also came to celebrate Easter in the Draganac monastery, and as she said, there was no better place than Kosovo.
"I was born in Croatia, but Kosovo is something more beautiful, our tree is not like here in Kosovo," said Ognjenovic.
Today in Draganac, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, the bishop Teodosije of Raska and Prizren, the bishop Ilarion of Novo Brdo and the representatives of the Serbian List celebrated Easter with the people.
