Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu stated, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the crime in Gorazdevac, in which two Serbian children were killed and four were wounded, that solving this crime is in the interest of Kosovo.

"The blame for the investigation lies, of course, with the prosecution, the judiciary, and the UNMIK police in force at the time of the crime. Nevertheless, this heinous crime should be solved as soon as possible because it is in the interest of the citizens of Kosovo," Spahiu told Kosovo Online.

He believes that, despite UNMIK's decision to close the investigation in 2010, it is not too late for it to be conducted now, and that this should be the responsibility of Kosovo's judicial authorities.

"The failure to solve this case is due to the inactivity, or rather the irresponsibility, of the judicial authorities. Not only at that time, but even now. If UNMIK services did not work back then, Kosovo's judicial bodies could have done the job. But it seems that this system is not functioning, as is the case with many other matters of equal or perhaps greater importance," Spahiu emphasized.
