On the occasion of the writing of the French weekly newspapers about the fact that the apartments of two judges of the Special Court were raided and computers with sensitive data related to the war crimes trial of former KLA leaders were taken, lawyer Goran Petronijevic states that "it is possible that this happened in order to hide the identity of those who provide the defense with confidential information, as well as how this can affect the further course of the trial".

Petronijevic states that this is not the first time something like this has happened and recalls the case when sensitive data was delivered to the premises of a KLA veteran.

"Not a single computer was stolen then," our interlocutor says.

The well-known Belgrade lawyer points out that he does not expect a reaction from the Special Court.

"They didn't react last time either, except that they prosecuted those who published the data, but not those who stole it, which is foolishness," Petronijevic says.

The trial of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi, and Jakup Krasniqi should begin on March 1.

Thaci, Veseli, Selimi, and Krasniqi were accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

They have been detained in The Hague since November 2020 and have pleaded not guilty to the crimes they are accused of.

According to the original indictment, Thaci, Veseli, Krasniqi, and Selimi were accused of war crimes, illegal or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, cruel treatment, torture, murder, crimes against humanity, and other crimes.
