Among the first to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election and triumphant return to the White House were Serbs, the Serbian Times reports.

A delegation of American businesspeople of Serbian descent, led by former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, attended Trump’s election headquarters in West Palm Beach last night with special invitations. There, they awaited the election results alongside other invited guests and celebrated the victory within Trump’s inner circle of associates.

Prior to this, Serbian businesspeople held important meetings with US senators and congresspeople from the Republican Party. Two of them, Ranko Ristic and Filip Milivojevic, had the opportunity earlier in the evening to present Robert Kennedy Jr., one of Trump’s closest associates, with a special monograph on the 140 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and the United States.

Robert Kennedy Jr., nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy and son of Senator Robert Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated in the 1960s, leads the "Make America Healthy Again" initiative. In Trump’s new administration, he will be responsible for overseeing medicine, healthcare, and nutrition.

By general opinion, Kennedy Jr.'s contributions added a new level of quality to Trump’s campaign and policy program in his bid to become the 47th President of the United States.

In addition to Bobby Kennedy, the Serbian business delegates met with many other distinguished figures within the Republican Party.
