Vucic: The "Open Balkan" initiative is the future
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said tonight that he considered the "Open Balkan" to be the future, and added that he had much more passion for it than for the EU for which he believed Serbia should stay on the EU path despite the pressures and everything else.
Vucic emphasized that he initiated the "Open Balkan" because he believes that it is necessary for the two largest nations in the Balkans, the Albanians and the Serbs, to cooperate.
"We have to live with each other or next to each other. I accidentally found the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, and he found me to have our first meeting, so they attacked me for creating Greater Albania," he explained.
Vucic added that, although he has more passion for the "Open Balkan", he cannot be guided by his emotions and throw EU representatives out of his office, because the EU is very important.
Vucic emphasized that there are dozens of Albanians from Kosovo with whom he talks about politics and all the differences between the two nations, but that does not mean that he will ever forget about national interests.
