General Director of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, during his visit to North Mitrovica, conveyed to the company’s employees that it firmly stands behind them, despite increasing pressure from Albin Kurti’s administration, which, he said, is trying to hinder the work of Serbian institutions, including Mts d.o.o.

Lucic visited the Mts office in North Mitrovica, where he spoke with employees and customers who were present. He stated that the company is operating very successfully in Kosovo, covering over 30,000 households.

“Today I’m visiting our employees to personally offer them support and send a message that our company stands behind them. Mts d.o.o. is doing exceptionally well—we have over 250 employees and provide services to 30,000 households. Over the past two years, especially when attempts were made to shut us down, we’ve all been aware of the pressure from Kurti’s administration aimed at disrupting our operations. Now, in this climate of heightened tension, Kurti’s administration has clearly begun targeting Serbian institutions, and we expect further attempts to obstruct our work. But I am absolutely certain—and I’m here to send this message—that we will prevent any disruption of our company’s operations by that administration,” Lucic said.

He added that this is precisely why he will hold several meetings on May 21 and 22 with the new U.S. administration, to address the problems the company is facing in Kosovo.

“I will once again raise the issue of the third license, so we can finally resolve it and provide users with quality 5G coverage, enabling us to deliver the best signal across the entire territory of Kosovo and Metohija. Given the strong support we have from American and European institutions for the development of 5G in the Western Balkans, I am confident they will assist us once again, and that we will complete this by next year—since it is in everyone’s interest,” Lucic emphasized.

He stated that the 5G development revolution is crucial, and that Mts is the only company on the territory of Kosovo capable of developing it.

“They are well aware of this, which is why Kurti’s administration is trying to delay or indefinitely withhold the third license—but I believe that’s ultimately an unrealistic goal. Sooner or later, they will have to issue the third license,” he concluded.

He assured all customers that the company will continue to operate without disruption, providing uninterrupted service while also improving offerings and support.
