Another attack on Serbs, Stefan Tomic beaten in Klokot after the Christmas liturgy
Another Serbian young man, Stefan Tomic (18) from Klokot, was beaten by a group of Albanians on Christmas night while returning with his brother from the midnight Christmas liturgy he attended in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul.
According to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the incident happened at 2:30 a.m. last night.
"After the service in the church, the young man was on his way to his aunt's, when on the way he was attacked by a group of Albanians, some of whom he recognized as security guards at a local restaurant. Stefan suffered injuries to his eye, arm, abdomen and legs, and he sought medical help at the health center institution in Vitina," the announcement states.
As it is added, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, also spoke with the Tomic family, who conveyed to them the support of the state of Serbia, which will be there to help them.
The family reported the whole case to the police, who interrogated Stefan about the attack until the early hours of the morning.
"And this violent attack on a Serbian child in Kosovo and Metohija shows the anti-Serb hysteria that reigns in Kosovo and Metohija and how threatened the Serbs are, especially south of the Ibar. That is why the question arises as to what the international community is doing to prevent such attacks on Serbs and increase the safety of Serbs, which is their primary duty and obligation," said the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
