Jovanovic: I passed by the police checkpoint, a shot was heard, and I felt pain in my shoulder
Milan Jovanovic, who was transported to the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica late last night, after being wounded near the Bistrica Bridge near Zvecan, told Kosovo Online that only Kosovo special unit members were present at the place where he had been wounded.
He said that everything happened on his way home from Leposavic.
"Last night, after returning from Leposavic down in Bistrica, where their base is, after passing through the checkpoint, I just heard a shot and felt a pain in my shoulder. I can't be 100% sure who shot, but I don't believe there is anyone else in that base apart from their army and police. I heard the crack of glass behind and in front of me, and honestly, I was scared. I continued on and headed home. I arrived at the place called Saren Kamen, and what happened next – where the car is, who brought me, I have no idea," Jovanovic said.
After being admitted to the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica, Jovanovic was operated on in the surgical department. According to the surgeon on-call, he is out of danger, but his condition is still being monitored.
